PMP® Exam Preparation Course

 

Course Duration: 5 full-days totaling the 35 Credit Hours required for the PMP exam.

With the increasing number of projects launched in organizations, the value of project management is becoming more essential for project successes and achievements of organization’s strategic goals. This course aims at providing the trainees with the knowledge, skills, tools and techniques needed to manage projects successfully in alignment with Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge – PMBOK® Guide – Forth Edition, issued by the Project Management Institute PMI. The course is thought to prepare the attendees for the prestigious PMP® Exam based on the PMBOK® Guide – Forth Edition.

Pre-requisite

 

Basic knowledge of project management plus 3 years of experience in performing project management tasks (not necessarily as a project manager).

Candidates without the 3 years experience requested for the PMP® Exam may attend the course and apply for CAPM® Exam, the Certified Associate Project Manager Exam, thought for new comers to the project management field.

About our Instructor

 

The course instructor is a senior consultant in the areas of project management and business process management with a 26-year service record as project engineer, project manager, functional manager as well as management consultant and trainer with public and private sector organizations in Egypt, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Jordan and the UA Emirates covering Construction, Telecom, IT and government sectors.

 

Since 1986, he provided more than 200 training courses in the region cooperating with well-known organizations in Egypt and the Middle East. He was also engaged as visiting lecturer and trainer in in the Graduate School for Management, AAST, the October Six Private University in Egypt, the American University (AUC), and the Regional Institiue Information Technology (RITI).

From Jan 2004 to 2007, he was the consulting director at PromaStar, a pan-arabian project management service provider, responsible for all projects starting from assessment, proposal preparation, resource allocation, setup and development of methodologies, directing and managing the project execution and closing the projects. He has a main role in managing PromaStar’s organizational development projects at Saudi Telecom, Jeddah Municipality, MobiServe Holding Egypt, Al-Zakary Real-estate in Riyadh, Al-Saad Contracting in Jeddah, and Libyan Steel Company.

 

From 1998-2003, he was working as director of project management division in EPM Consultancy Cairo providing project management services for several projects including Al-Azhar Park Project, a multi-million land-mark project of Cairo

 

Between 1989 and 1998, he worked in the project management division of the consulting Office Faulenbach in Germany in managing several industrial and residential construction projects. From 1983 to 1989, he was working as project engineer in Egypt. 

 

Our Instructor has been selected in the national committee for issuing a new code of practice for construction project management in Egypt (2007-2008) and the ministerial committee for evaluating and negotiating the Greater Cairo Waste Treatment Project with a budget of one billion USD in 1999.

 

He is also the international correspondent in Egypt for the PM World Today http://www.pmworldtoday.net/.

Academic Background

·         B. Sc. degree in Civil Engineering with honors degree in 1983 from Egypt

·         Master degree in Construction Project Management in 1991 from Germany.

·         PMP certification from the PMI in 1999, renewed 4 times till 2015. (www.pmi.org).

·         Current member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), USA,

·         Served as member of Board of Directors and VP of PMI’s Chapter Middle East / North Africa (PMI-MENA).
